What too many people overlook is that the human body can't handle prolonged exposure to low gravity and zero gravity conditions. You can visit for a while, but then you have to return to normal gravity. Failure to do so will greatly shorten your life. Mars, our Moon, and the other moons in our solar systemall have low or zero gravity, so they are all unsuitable for permanent residency. The only feasible way to colonize off of Earth is in space stations that rotate fast enough to maintain one Earth gravity on at least one level. Alternatively, it might be possible to put enough spin on some of the asteroids.

You missed one big thing. In these hundred years, technology on earth would develop and we will make warp drives, and would be there on proxima centaury B to welcome the passengers. Those billionaires who "slept" for 100 years would realise, time waits for none, not even the billionaires!! New wave of entrepreneurs have taken over the stock market, all the "conventional" industries have failed, along with most of their (sleeping billionaires) investments. They are now nobody. Just someone who has-been sleeping for 100 years.

Lets be real...No one would sacrifice their own life, and their children's children's life to travel 100 years to a planet that may or may not support life. That's too big of a risk. Why not burn the engines longer and go faster, and cut the trip down to 10 years.

I'm sorry, but all the name stuff in this video makes it corny as hell. Then came the golden irises. What?!? So all-of-a-sudden people are going to evolve the way you think? Oh, and how fast are they going to evolve? Two or three generations? I don't think so. That's not how evolution works. Animals don't evolve the way you want them to or the way they want to either. You need to do a little reading about how evolution works. BTW, you better make sure they turn on those engines more than 15 days away from their destination, because . . . what if they don't start up after 100 years of not running? They'll need time to fix them, and if it takes 16 days to fix the engines then the ship will go zooming right by the planet, and miss its destination.

No meat? Count me out i'm not going. Add a farm with chickens pigs and cows and i will reconsider. There is not enough genetic diversity on the ship. All will end up dyeing. A genetic bottle neck will occur. The same sickness could end them all or retardation and or physical deformities. But i assure you the numbers are way too low to sustain population. How will the plants grow on the new planet with a much lower light? Did you people think this threw?
